I agree. Remember, we saw this on 4^th of July. It was a nightmare to back the bigger rigs out past the taverns back to Main street because the could not turn on 2^nd.

We will need to post signage at Main/Molalla for “No Truck Traffic Southbound on Molalla Avenue.” Or Road closed to truck traffic for SB Molalla. Detour to Shaver Ave. Any big trucks that would go SB on Molalla from Main will get stuck with no egress.

We are going to, as a compromise close down Molalla Avenue from Section to 7^th. Trucks will have to divert on 7^th to Hart. Not much else we can do based on this is turning into a huge community party. Traffic can cross from 6^th to Section and cross at 5^th and Metzler and Hart will be the north-south routes for that day. We’ll see how it goes and if it is not good then we will ask them to move the car show up to between 3^rd and 4^th.

I will not be in next week, so I cannot make the Tuesday meeting. Lt. Schoenfeld could make the meeting if necessary. However, seeing the new map, I thought we and Gerald had decided that Section Street was going to be left open to accommodate truck traffic. Molalla Avenue would be closed off at Section for NB traffic, but traffic could flow freely from Section Street south. Now it lists a car show south of Section. NOTE: From my perspective, if the show cars are legally parked on Molalla Avenue, it can work as long as there are no barricades on Molalla Avenue on the south side of Section. Those are my thoughts.
