Subject: RE: Vac Truck

Importance: Normal

The vactor truck was purchased approximately two years ago at a cost of approximately $500,000. It is used for cleaning sewer and stormwater pipes, manholes, catch basins, and for excavation around sensitive utilities. The ability to clean and maintain systems using City forces is a cost savings compared to contracting out those services.

How’s that?
