Aloha Gerald!

I'm in Maui right now and Christmas seems so far away but I know our timeframe is not! I haven't heard from Dan to clarify who funds he repairs. So far this year we are identifying only 8 poles along Main St. that will anchor Main/Molalla 4 way stop. Also, I haven't received the contact information to the gal at PGE from you. Mahalo!

Olesya,

As far as I know it would still be a city expense but that was said by our former Public Works Director, Jen Cline. I have cc’d both Dan and Gerald. Perhaps one of them can verify.

Oleysa can correct me but if I recall, it was to have an electrician or PGE see which poles have functioning outlets for lighted decorations. It won’t be for every pole, just the poles the Chamber will identify that will have illuminated decorations on them.

Thanks,

Sadie

Good morning Gerald,

It was nice meeting you on Thursday and you gave a great presentation on the Molalla Avenue update. It's nice to see someone so knowledgeable and excited about improving our city. I have included Sadie and Sean Huntington (our electrician) on this email so that they could be in the loop of what is going on with the permitting process. Could you forward me the contact to PGE? I also wanted to clarify who is responsible in financing the electrical updates to the poles. Sadie you had mentioned in your previous email that it would be a city expense pending Dan's approval. Is that still correct? Thank you very much to all of you.

Hi Olesya,

Glad to hear that things are moving forward. The poles would be an expense to the city based on what the PW Director said. That expense would need to be cleared by Dan before we move forward on that unless the Chamber has budgeted for that expense.

Hope that helps!!

Sadie

Hi Sadie!

We are making progress on Christmas Decoration planning and have been in contact with Sean Huntington to give us some bids to update the outlets on the PGE poles. As of right now we are looking to electrify a total of 8 poles off of Main St. on either side of four way stop (Poles numbers identified on the attached PGE permit application). Could you clarify for us the current contract/agreement that the City of Molalla has with PGE in regards to maintenance. I have attached a previous PGE permit application that we have used and at some point in the future we would like to electrify all of these poles. Once we have a bid we will look at the total cost of improvements and make a plan of how to finance it. Thanks for your help!

Attached is a blank app and a copy of the one we used last year for PGE. For ODOT we did not have an official permit. Can't remember how we did that one. I know we were approved. Anyway, Leota wanted copies of what we had used. Let me know if you need more information.
