Gerald we do not need any time extensions. Here is our fleet index, attached. We spend $108,000 per year on fuel across the City. That’s about 39,272 gal of fossil fuels. About 2/3rds of that is Diesel, so the total carbon output of the City’s fleets, including Police Cars, and irrigation is probably 415 tons of CO2 annually.

Subject: Request for data for Climate Action Plan work - City Fleets

Dear City Managers,

Thank you so much for your help thus far in the County’s work to advance the climate action plan study. We are moving into the next phase of gathering more data. Presently, we are seeking your help to provide data about the fleets in your cities. Your help will ensure we get a complete look at vehicle use by a variety of agencies, including public agencies. The list below covers the fleet categories our climate team is looking for. We’d be happy to receive this data in whatever format you have or would like to provide it in (excel, word, pdf, etc.).

Our team is looking for this information by Friday, December 4. If you or your team needs more time please let me know and we can make it work.

Thank you so much, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Happy Thanksgiving Week! Stay safe out there.
