Public Works and Fire Dept coordinated emergency shutdown and flushed water system for approximately 5 hours. Molalla Avenue and the sidewalk were undermined by the waterline break and will require repairs. Public Works has made the site safe will release a contract for repairs to a contractor soon. The water treatment plant saw a small turbidity spike around 4pm last night, but had no trouble. There is no health risk or situation that requires public notices. City estimates that a total of 280,860 gallons of water was spilled because of the accident. Officer Brenner of Molalla PD is the lead case officer. Attached are some images for you. Thanks. Would like to know how bad—streets flooded? How many gallons of water, how badly was the hydrant damaged? Carol
