Subject: VRF- Investment fund strategy

All:

As you know the County now has a local Vehicle Registration Fee that we are calling our Community Road Fund (CRF). Part of it is a 10% set aside for projects between cities and the county of mutual benefit. These “projects” can be road transfers, capital, etc. - really anything legal to fund with Road Fund. About a year ago I met with each of your cities to discuss what you might spend your share of the CRF on. I’d like to come visit again individually to identify a potential road transfer and a potential improvement project associated with each city. Then I’ll compile a list and a proposal to C4 for their consideration.

Keep in mind the project can be big or small, the CRF can fund all of it or just a match or gap funding. Also keep in mind though that the CRF will only provide about $1 million per year for this investment fund, so consider accordingly.

I am currently able to meet around these general dates/times. I would appreciate a reply to let me know when you are available and I’ll start scheduling them. I’ll bring a map of roads within your city, and the County’s TSP. I would expect you to have your city TSP and an idea of what roads you might want and what projects might be desired.
