With the 2017 legislative session around the corner and with continued emphasis being given to the need for a transportation package, the League wishes to solicit a little more information that will be critical to the establishment of the local need for increased funding for local street maintenance and preservation. The attached survey solicits data on the conditions of streets and roads owned and/or maintained by your city. Background on the methodology used to make those determinations will also be helpful as we try to amalgamate the data into a form that is easily communicated to the Legislature and is the basis for both quantifiable as well as anecdotal evidence of city needs in this area.
