Hi Dan,

I’d recommend that you phrase the letter to make it clear that the speed changes have been approved but have not yet been implemented. You’re hoping the Director calls down the line and lights a fire underneath somebody and being specific will help.

Meanwhile, I’m sending a note up the food chain to provide some explanation.

So, if you look at the speed limit reduction recommendations from about a year ago the speed limit reduction from 45 to 35 is in front of Stone Place Apartments near Hezzie Lane (Between 213 and Downtown). Hopefully, that helps.

Dan,

Regarding your draft letter to Director Garrett, can you be more specific about which speed limits you want us to reduce? Is it the 35 between 213 and downtown? Is it the 45 on the east side?
