Hi Mark,

I spoke with Jason. The reason comes down to summer temperatures is causing the issues.

The WWTP staff are installing the filter media in the final sand filter at the plant. I have spoken with Jason and all WWTP staff will be working on this to complete it and get the final. I have also tasked the Maintenance Division staff to assist the WWTP staff and they will be meeting with Jason tomorrow to assist with the installation of the filter media.

As I understand it, once the filter media is in filter #4 then we should be able to get back within our Class A effluent requirements. They are working as fast as they can to remedy the issue. Thanks Mark.

Hi Jason,

Is this a combination of temperature, concentration of sewer flows, and other items related to this time of year? Please summarize and I will add into the letter as Mark has noted below. Thanks.

Gerald:

Is there an explanation why the bacteria levels went up? If so, we should provide that in this letter.

Hi Mark,

Please see short and simple response to David Cole’s question from DEQ about the TNTC notation in the DMR report. Feel free to edit as necessary.

Hi Jason,

Let Mark and I know if there is any additional information such as dates and type of contact you made to David Cole, if any. Thanks.
