Trey,
Following up on our Phone Conversation this morning, after inspecting the intake this Spring it appears we may not need to enter the river again this summer to move rocks as requested with permit Nwp-2021-328. In addition, the City of Molalla is budgeting to begin Design Work on a complete replacement of that Intake Structure (Dyer Partnership will be the Engineer of Record), which will require a new Joint Permit application whose scope will be significantly different than Nwp-2021-328. Therefore, at this time the City feels comfortable withdrawing that permit application. If emergency work becomes necessary this summer the City will reach out to all parties for options.
You also pointed out that you were able to recover from your records a Corps Permit that was approved in 1992 for the original intake issued to the City of Molalla, and another in 2007 for repair/installation of an air burst system. May we please request a copy by email of those documents you’ve found in order to make sure the City’s files are accurate?
Thank you!
Respectfully,
Andy Peters, Public Works Div Manager
