Subject: RX Public Assistance COVID-19 FEMA Daily Update 5.8.2020

Good afternoon,

Happy Friday! Here’s today’s trimmed-down update! No donuts today, but please keep letting us know how we can assist you.

Contact Tracing Update: We have received some questions on contract tracing. FEMA HQ is currently working through this on any potential eligibility from FEMA PA along with the “Opening America” policy questions. In discussions, CDC has indicated that “tracking potentially exposed persons” is not appropriate for reimbursement as CDC funds prospectively – jurisdictions need upfront resources, plus CDC guidance and TA.”, and they site the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) program. As of this week, CDC confirmed that funding is available both through the Crisis CoAg funding awards and the ELC program awards to jurisdictions to support contact tracing. Here is a link to the CDC Coronavirus funding to jurisdictions. When we know more information, we will distribute accordingly.

Training Resources:

• * New Grants Portal “How-to Video”on YouTube, that provides a Recipient basic overview!
• * In the future, there may be opportunities for PDMG training (FEMA/State). We’re looking into potential courses and we’ll keep you posted on the development of this offering.
• * For those that have trouble streaming GP videos, we are able to compress them in a zip file and send them via email.
