Re: COVID-19 UPDATE...Reopening Oregon Framework - Governor's Detailed PowerPoint (Embargoed)

OACP Members,

I’m including a link below to an embargoed draft copy of the Governor’s PPT on the reopening framework. This presentation includes additional detail regarding the phased approach to reopening Oregon. I will be participating in a briefing through the Oregon Law Enforcement Leadership Forum tomorrow morning where the Governor’s Public Safety Policy Advisor is expected to go through the presentation and answer questions. I will provide you with any additional information that is covered during the call.

The PPT is consistent with the conversation Jason Myers and I had with Constantin from the Governor’s Office yesterday where he indicated that the plan will allow counties to request less restrictions as certain conditions are met.

In the PPT you will see the proposed plan allows individual counties (through the county commissioners/county health authority) to request that a level of the restriction be lifted (for the particular county) as supported by data, PPE and medical resources/support. You will see that this is a tiered approach, but it does allow certain county’s that are meeting requirements soon/now to request the ability to lift restrictions.

We will learn more tomorrow on the conference call, but I wanted to share this information with you in advance of the conference call as I know a number of you have been receiving inquiries from your constituents. Here is the link:
