Good morning Local and Tribal Emergency Managers, OERS Council, and Private Sector Partners,

Please see the following message from Theresa Masse, the Region X Cybersecurity Advisor for Oregon:

Many of us are dealing with some network congestion and capacity issues with Verizon. There is a nationwide issue with mobile to landline calls, primarily at the top of every hour on business days, due to the tremendous increase in the use of conference calls for the masses of teleworking staff. Verizon is monitoring their networks and making continuous adjustments in an attempt to better manage this issue. They are asking for people to stagger their conference calls 10 or 20 minutes on either side of the hour to keep all the calls from hitting the network at the top of the hour.
