Dear Mr. Bean,

Please see attached letter dated June 29, 2017 sent to your attorney regarding the property located at 529 Hart Avenue. No response was ever received from your attorney’s office regarding this matter and the City has not been reimbursed for the costs described in the letter.

Items 1-3 must be remedied with the City before service can be reestablished to this property. As of today, the cost for SDC’s for a service connection with ¾” meter is $3,943. Costs for the City to stop the theft of services now totals $1,780.50. That costs was forwarded to the District Attorney and may be resolved thru that court case. That cost does not include the staff time for the Public Works, Police, and Finance Department or City Attorney costs to deal with the issues related to your property and to secure the property. I do not have those figures available at this time.

Once your company has reimbursed the City for its costs you may begin the process to have a contractor take out a Public Works permit to install a new water service to the property, pay all permit and connection fees, and set up a water account in your companies name. The account will be your companies responsibility until such time as you transfer ownership of the property. Your company will be responsible for making the monthly payments for service in accordance with Molalla Municipal Code. A meter will not be set until an account with Finance is set up and all other costs above are addressed.
