Attachments: image001.jpg; # Bid 18-315 Complete Bid Documents.pdf; Andy, I got a response from KCDA to the concern on the install portion. They commonly forward the attached bid solicitation which highlights the install work being included in the services we provide, and you can see that referenced specifically on page 13, but then in a couple other places as well. This combines with the award letter I sent yesterday. Our KCDA contact did say if there were any other further questions you can call her as well, and she is happy to verify installation is a part of what we can include on our KCDA quotes. Like I mentioned before, we’ve done projects that are even bigger than this one, so hopefully there isn’t any concern after having this documentation. On our contract award (attached) you can see toward the bottom they list “installation” as being included in our contract authorization of services that can be provided in addition to products. So it is not only equipment but the install of those products as clients may need that service. Here is a link to our vendor page as well, which also highlights install: Vendor Detail | kcda.org Justin Patterson, CPRP, CPSI Parks Consultant- NW Oregon/SW Washington Based in Newberg, Oregon 503.991.3604 | Direct 425.313.9161 | Office Building Community Through Play! Justin, I just got approval to increase our PO values as soon as I can get some documentation on the three quotes we pursued. Can you please just send me whatever you have for the file? If you get those to me by end of day I will up the POs and you can get stuff on order, however we may need some additional paperwork to come later, we are reviewing our procurement requirements right now. So you’d want to use this one versus the other numbers you had below. Justin here is the update I sent to our executive team. Can you just double check what I’m saying below and make sure I’m accurate? I believe I am. Thanks again! Andy From: Andy Peters Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2022 3:29 PM To: Mac Corthell <mcorthell@cityofmolalla.com> Subject: FW: Quick note Mac, we now have all final quotes for both Fox and Strawberry Park, they are attached. Each park has 2 quotes and they break down as follows: Strawberry Park (PO#6306): $341,822.8 ($133955.82 equipment [already on PO], $110958.73 rubber, $87,714.06 concrete and installation) Fox Park (PO#6085): $225,239.10 ($101,636.5 equipment [already on PO], $29,128.13 rubber tile, $94,474.67 concrete and installation) Vendor sought 3 bids, 1 was unresponsive, and they took the cheaper of the other two. The easiest way to proceed would be to simply increase the amounts of the two POs below to the total in bold, and sign the quotes. Let me know your thoughts. This includes the site work, and then the installation of the poured in place rubber surfacing in the design we have agreed upon. You can see the site work is just a touch more than Fox, and that is mostly due to the amount of sidewalk here. But like I had warned, the poured in place rubber is incredibly expensive. That poured in place number is actually the cheaper of two quotes I received. A third company was unresponsive. I also compared this to quotes we received for 4 other projects in Washington and Idaho to make sure things were lining up. This is about a buck cheaper per square foot than those others. The second quote I got was about $47,000 more than this one. I didn’t accidentally add a zero there either. For the site work portion, I am waiting on two other contractors to see if they can give me numbers on both Strawberry and Fox. But for now, this gets you started. The other thing of note is this cost is for sidewalk around the whole space. I haven’t yet heard back from the engineers on my comment regarding the need for at least a curb along that north side for containment of the poured in place. We can always do a deduct for that in the future if you want to proceed. I know this cost is a lot. But let me know if you have any initial questions. Justin I’m out tomorrow for some vacation, so if you get any quotes to us I won’t be able to route them until Monday – but it’s not because I’m dragging my feet! Have a GREAT weekend!
