Would you respond to Jasmin with any of your concerns? Feel free to visit the site on the 9th, and I may even join you depending on my schedule. We have updated sampling locations for every sample, as described below. If you have any comments on the proposed locations, if possible, we request your response before my next site visit on August 9th. Initially, in our “Initial VI Assessment” memo, we proposed sampling in areas with the greatest potential for VI in the Clubhouse. We planned to collect one sample in the south portion of the building, nearest Interim Action Excavation 5 and a second sample collected in the center of the Clubhouse, nearest the November 2022 concrete slab and vapor barrier repairs (See 01 Site Plan attached). Clubhouse Sample 1 proposed location change: Based on your site walk with Alexandra in May, you preferred we sample closer to the utility closet on southern side of the building where the fire sprinkler chemical vapor barrier penetration exists. As you and I discussed in the past, we do not recommend sampling inside the closet because that space is going to remain generally closed off to the rest of the building, is a very small area, and site worker exposure will be extremely limited in that room. The work room adjacent to the utility closet is between the apartment management employee’s office spaces (to be occupied approximately 40-hours a week) and the utility closet. We recommend collecting one sample either in the work room or the office spaces (See 071723 Building Floor Plans attachment). Clubhouse Sample 2 proposed location change: During your May site walk, you also expressed concern about the samples being spaced too closely. In our VI work plan, we selected locations in the central and southern portion of the Clubhouse because they are within the 100-foot buffer of Interim Excavation 5 (See 04 Site Development Plan attached) and are near the vapor barrier and slab repairs from November 2022. We will move the second sample farther from the first sample and collect our second sample in the Clubroom (See 071723 Building Floor Plans attachment). Clubhouse Ambient Sample changed location: In our VI work plan, we proposed our ambient sample to be located N of the Clubhouse, but during your site walk, you recommended sampling E of the Clubhouse near the parking lot. We can make this change (See 071723 Building Floor Plans attachment). Background Building Samples changed location: When we wrote the VI work plan, Building 2 was the most recently completed building on Parcel 1. Given delays, that building has been completed for around 6-months and we would like to sample a building more recently to the Clubhouse’s completion so we can collect comparable background samples. We propose sampling the more recently completed Building 4 in two unoccupied units (See 071723 Building Floor Plans attachment). For the ambient sample at Building 2, you requested we sample on the W side of the building where the gas monitoring panel is located, within the main walkway. We will inspect Building 4’s exterior to see if there is a comparable location for the ambient sample. Phase II RA final cap site visit: I have a site visit next Wednesday morning to inspect the final cap – I’ve been informed they will complete the landscape cap next week. Following my inspection, we will notify you and Jim of the Phase II Remedial Action completion and propose a deliverable timeline for the Closeout Report, the OMPs, and the Post-Construction Fact Sheet.
