Vault was excavated along with PCS with a total of 254 tons disposed at Dry Creek Landfill. Excavation was limited by the presence of utilities and adjacent 1st Street. Confirmation soil sampling was performed indicating Diesel and Lube Oil contamination remained, along with volatiles. I will send that report separately, and Dylan has a copy as well. Attached are figures for perimeter soil and groundwater sampling performed two months ago. In the interim, the property owner, Jackson County School District 6 has joined the VCP to receive site closure. The proposed sampling plan (Figure 10) indicates push-probe soil sampling (Gx) analysis adjacent to the SW corner of the excavation to provide worst case Gx value as Gx was not analyzed for excavation confirmation samples. A groundwater sample is proposed downgradient of the excavation to further delineate Gx and Dx values. Two soil gas samples are proposed, the first adjacent to the excavation as a worst case sample, and the second location adjacent to the school building to confirm no impacts, with Gx and Naphthalene TO-15 analysis for both locations. The Site is currently under development for school activities, and we would like to get the samples collected prior to paving. Please comment on the proposed sampling plan.
