Susan,
You are correct, this is the cost that we are estimating for the paving and stormwater control work as requested by Alex - all part of the project that we outlined in our December letter. We will be paying for this work with a grant from the State as well as with our Parks System Development Charges.
Cheers,
Britta

Britta – I want to make sure that I understand this so I am looking at it properly. Is this the work that you outlined in the letter you sent on December 15th (i.e. the construction that is to start this summer)? And how is the City funding the work (from general funds or bonds or ?).
Thanks – Susan

Alex,
My apologies for the delay. I was hoping to have updated final construction engineer’s cost estimate information by now, but I have not yet received this information from my design team.
I am hoping to have it in the next week or so. In the meantime, I have the 30% Construction estimate information. It is at this point over a year old, so I would suggest only using the numbers as ball park:
Site excavation for pavement: $ 150,000
Parking lot construction: $ 130,000
Stormwater work: $160,000
Please let me know if this information is adequate, or if you would still like the up to date cost estimate.
Cheers,

Hi Kyle and Britta.
As we last discussed, DEQ is working on the Formal Enforcement Action documents for the Forest Park site. Now that you are further along in the design process, can you please provide an estimate of the costs that would be involved to pave and install permanent stormwater features. Based on the last conceptual designs I’ve seen, I think these would include costs of design, permitting, construction and maintenance of pavement of approximately 23,000 sq ft and a sediment manhole and a lined filtration basin stormwater treatment feature. But I don’t have access to the most current design and plans, so please update accordingly to provide an estimate.
Thanks.
And I hope you enjoy this last day of 2020 and get off to a good start to 2021!
