Attachments: draft WLOC for Forest Park; image001.png; Microsoft Exchange Server;converted from html; Hi Paul. I attached the email I sent to you on 11/21 with the draft letter, which needs input from you, as described, before it can be finalized. Another thing we might want to add to the letter is that, though the email below indicates Kyle DeHart is the new single contact and Britta Herwig will remain PM for Forest Park, Britta is not the PM per the PPA-CO, which was officially amended on 2/13/19 to name Rachel Felice as the PM. We will need clarity on this and likely another amendment. This also pertains to one of the questions for you in the WL – who to address it to? Let me know your edits and decisions and I can finalize it and get it out. --Alex L. I think it would be helpful to have a coordination meeting to provide context for Kyle (Welcome Kyle!) and discuss the particular requirements for each Parks property with DEQ Cleanup Program requirements. I’m attending the National Brownfield Conference this week but would like to coordinate with the parks team on scheduling the coordination meeting when I get back next week. In addition to Kyle and yourself for the South Waterfront Central District Greenway park, please let me know who I should contact to schedule a meeting to discuss The Fields Park site in NW Portland. This will include all initial project communication, receipt of invoices, and coordination of monitoring. We will also work on improving communication with the City’s Bureau of Environmental Services who are a regulatory partner on many sites. Kyle will serve as the “gatekeeper” for new or existing DEQ inquiries that may be assigned to Capital Project Managers. For example, I will remain the Project Manager on the South Waterfront RCM Project until the final report is accepted by DEQ, whereas Kyle will be the new contact for ongoing monitoring and any issues. Britta Herwig will remain the Project Manager for the Forest Park - Anderson site. Kyle has worked in Parks for the last 18 months as our Health, Safety, and Environmental professional and is now a new member on my team focused on environmental compliance related to our physical infrastructure. He can be reached at (503) 502-4534 or Kyle.DeHart@PortlandOregon.gov. We are confident that this change will be helpful in establishing a more productive relationship with DEQ and reducing response times. Please let me know if you have any questions.
