Stephanie – another thought I had regarding evaluating this: due to the strange nature of this issue, it may be beneficial to clean the “seep-up” areas with a detergent solution and see whether the seeping continues with the on-set of higher water conditions this season. If it is not this could significantly change the concerns we have with environmental and human exposure.
