Hi Dale,

Attached is the SDC calculation for sewer. Your total fee to connect is $600 (connection fee) + $5,116 (SDC fee) = $5,716. Payment can be made here at the Finance Department and once that is done I can approve Planning’s release of the sewer connection for your County plumbing permit. The contractor will have to install a cleanout at the point of connection (see attached detail) and call me to inspect the point of connection. The County will inspect the rest of the system back into your property under the plumbing permit. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Good news Gerald; I was assured verbally in '88 that a stub [4'] was in place for my use. Thanks for your help on this. Dale N

Hi Dale,

It appears that a sewer stub may have been installed during the construction of the main sewer line. Once we confirm that the lateral is in place then it will significantly reduce the cost of what you would need to do for Public Works. If a lateral does exist then we will only need a copy of the plumbing drawings showing the installation of a cleanout at the point of connect and the plumbing drawings can also be used when submitting to the County for your plumbing permit. No engineered drawings would be required. We have the Maintenance Division looking into it and will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

Hi; Dale Newcomb here. Property 1441 W Main st. Can you mention or list some of the engineering firms who are providing the plans for recent sewer connections. The excavators I have contacted can not provide the engineered plans for this job. It is a 500 ft straight 4" installation thru my pasture, no utilities or street involved. I have lost 2 months with unreliable excavators, and the dry season is almost gone. thanks Dale N
