Hi Marah and Avi,

The property to the south went through a partitioning process where I had them dedicate right of way to allow south Ona Way to be curved to the west and line up at a 90 degree angle. That is why you see the north Ona Way connection to OR 211 adjusted slightly west. The centerlines are less than 1 foot off from each other when done. Hope that helps answer your questions about alignment. Thanks.

Hi Mac,

There is a lot of history relating to the Bear Creek Subdivision from before I was assigned to working with Molalla. I have been discussing this with Avi and looking at previous land use cases. The goal has been to provide access to all the properties via a new Ona Way connection to the highway. The new street connection was suppose to line up as close as possible with the southern leg of the Ona Way. From the PLA it shows the right of way identified for Ona Way, but it looks off set from the southern leg.

I couldn’t find the land use decision that you reference in which the city has already required the r/w donation for OR 211.

Now might be a good time for ODOT and Molalla to meet to discuss the status of this development. It looks like Avi and I are available next week from 1 to 3pm on 11/24 and 11/25. Our schedules open up the following week, so if it works better to wait until Thanksgiving just provide a few times your team would be available.

Hi Marah,

We’ve been working with the (decidedly uncooperative) applicant to get the ROW dedication done for Ona Way. The only dedication I know of in regards to OR-211 is the 3’ dedication that was already finalized on PP2017-094, if you can give me a heads up on what you mean with the OR-211 ROW dedication that might be helpful. We cannot condition a PLA, so our hook for the Ona way dedication is a settlement agreement that was signed and our code’s criteria requiring compliance with the roadway authority.

We are currently working with legal counsel on both sides to get it done and dedicated, but I do not expect it to happen this week.

All of that is to say, no need to rush but we would like them as soon as you’re able to provide them. Thank you!
