Hi Aldo,

To my knowledge, he has not completed items #7 and #8 of the required conditions of approval for Public Works. Also, Public Works does not sign private driveways or private streets in the City, so Condition #9 was put in without me or my predecessors consent by your predecessor. Had they looked into the code they would have found this.

18.16.020 Transportation standards. AI. Private Streets. Private streets are prohibited unless otherwise approved by the City Council.

Since no private street was approved by Council, it doesn’t exist. Driveways for partitioned lots are not streets. Only signs for public streets can go in the ROW and since there is no public street, no street sign will be installed at this driveway. Please note that there are signs up all over town calling private driveways streets. They were installed incorrectly and going forward we will not continue the practice. Thanks Aldo.
