Gerald,

We followed-up and sent the attached layout over to the County Surveyor. The County does not have a problem with the temporary turnaround easement and has indicated that either way the easement will go on the plat. I have attached the email from the County Surveyor.

Nathan,

Please check with the County to see if they have issues with a temporary FD turnaround.

I would, but that would 100% be your call to add sprinklers. I would rather see the turn-a-round but I understand not wanting to give up an entire lot to do it. Please make every attempt to keep as much as the ½ cul-d-sac as possible.

Mike,

In the case that the City or County does not allow the use of the easement for the temporary hammerhead, you would approve the use of sprinklers for the houses instead of the turnaround per the attached Fire Apparatus Access sheet you provided, correct?

Please confirm.

Sorry it has taken a few days to get back with you about the turning radius. I have attempted to do this with more than one driver and I am unable to make the turn. The radius is good but there is just not enough room. I would suggest a hammerhead similar to the one I have drawn in on the attachment. Page two of the attachment is out of the Metro Oregon Fire Code Applications Guide. It’s obviously not the best option, but an option none the less that could be used with the cul-de-sac if you choose with minimal property loss between lots 7 and 8. I have also quickly marked hydrant locations. Hydrant can be placed on either side of the road way.

Mike,

During the pre-application conference for the development of the property at address 829 Toliver Road, it was brought to our attention to contact you to see if the attached layout would work for fire truck turn around with the semi-cul-de-sac shown?

Please let me know if the attached layout would work or if you have questions.

Regards,
