Subject: Correction regarding sewer maintenance

I want to reach out to you to correct some misinformation. I spoke with our Public Works Director and he said that the City has responsibility for the sanitary sewer lateral from the property line to the main. So if the sewer gets backed up or other serious problems – we will go out and fix this section. Things like party lines we won’t fix but will issue a no cost permit to the person who wants to fix this. I apologize for any confusion this has caused as we worked through this.
