Hi Melanie,
The addition of a hydrant will require submittal of Civil plans to Public Works and a set to the Fire Marshall. Please link to PW standards and review Sections 1.15 for plans and Section 5 for water design requirements. Minimum fees for plan review $300 and permit $700 and depend on the scope of the waterline extension. All waterlines outside of public ROW must be within a 15 foot wide public waterline easement. Please have your engineer contact us to discuss next steps. Thanks.

In regards to the fire comments, it looks like the Fire Department wants to see another fire hydrant on the north part of the site. At what point does the Fire Department need to see the revised civil drawings showing this? During the permitting process, or before the approved site plan is sent out?

The approval package for 615 W Heintz ST is ready. If you’d prefer remote pickup, your SDCs are within the amount we can accept via card payment over the phone (503-829-6855) and I can email your approved site plan and release letter after payment. Otherwise, I can have the packet ready for pickup.
I’ve attached your SDC calcs and conditions from Molalla FD for your reference. The impervious addition was more than we were initially thinking, hence the departure from our initial estimate.

I finally had a chance to review these plans. I must admit that it wasn’t easily apparent to me what parts of the development were changing. I’m wondering if you can create a colored site plan that shows all of the elements of the site plan that are changing such as:
--Residing (Color-code the areas)
--New stairs (Color-code the location)
--Community Room Addition (Color-code the location)
I think this will help us understand the request…and review the application.
