Good morning Christie:

Will you please look for a time when Andy, Gerald, Dan and I can meet to discuss a potential expansion of NW Polymers on Commercial Parkway? Please schedule an hour, though I don’t think we will need the full hour.

For background, NW Polymers is interested in studying the feasibility of expanding on the lot either to the west (across Commercial Parkway) or immediately south. Both of those properties are within City limits. NW Polymers is interested in talking to the City about partnering to have Lowe Road (is that the right name?) extended west to Hwy. 213, to provide an alternate route for freight traffic. In our meeting with the County, Dan raised the possibility of using Immediate Opportunity Funds from Business Oregon. He also emphasized the need for the development to give the City eventual “pay-back.”

Another question raised during our meeting was whether wetlands exist on the properties….and whether those could be filled to accommodate development. Our meeting is intended to be a huddle where we can all get up to speed and then go do any additional research before we make any next steps with Clackamas County or Business Oregon.
