Subject: RE: TSC - Storm Pipe Material

Importance: Normal

Hi Lee,

I have no objections on my side. The contractor will need to run this by Clackamas County plumbing since the onsite storm is covered under a plumbing permit. There shouldn’t be a problem because they have accepted 3034 in the past. Not sure what their requirements are for cover. We allow 3034 up to 30” of cover. 12” – 29” has to be C-900, ductile, or RCP. The County may allow shallow cover compared to our standards and I have no objection to it since it will be a privately maintained system. Feel free to pass on to contractor and County so they know we are OK with the change in pipe. Thanks.

Subject: TSC - Storm Pipe Material

Gerald,

The contractor is asking if SDR 35 PVC can be used as an alternate material to the HDPE currently called out in our plans. Attached is the material submittal for the pipe they are proposing, as well as the Civil drainage sheets for ease of reference.

In checking depth of cover in our plans, all runs of pipe will have more than 30” of cover with the exception of two runs. CB-20 to East Pond will have 1.5’ cover and CB-8 to CB-9 will have 1.75’ cover.

Please advise if this is acceptable or if additional discussion is needed.
