Subject: 220 W Main Street

Gerald

This is in regards to the Transportation Analysis Letter for the development at 220 W Main Street.

The first question is to see if it qualifies for the Letter rather than the full study.

An example shown in the development code is that the threshold for the letter is a subdivision containing 25 or fewer single-family residences or a general office building less than 15,000 square feet. Is the 15,000 square feet for the building the square footage for the proposed new building or the combined square footage of the buildings on site. Proposed building only.

The next question is the requirements of this letter. I can produce most of the documentation required for this letter except the trip generation numbers. To acquire the necessary manuals and applications will cost in the vicinity of $1,000-$1,200, that is more than I am willing to pay for what will probably be a one time use, plus the learning curve required to figure this out. Would it be more efficient and cost effective if we hire a transportation engineer to do this letter for us. It may be less work to hire it out to a transportation engineering firm. The firms that have done work in Molalla are DKS Associates, Kittelson and Associates, and Lancaster Engineering. All have offices in Portland. Not sure what they will charge for that work.

I look forward to your response and comments

Thank you very much
