I agree, Marah. Shouldn’t be a need for ODOT participation at the meeting.

It’s up to you if you want to submit formal comments now or when the application comes in but I think we can represent this view at the pre-app. Particularly since the applicant intends to move forward this way anyway. If not comments now, let us know if there are any finer points regarding the easement extinguishment that ODOT would want to add via email.

That’s great. There is also a pre-application this week for the property located at 963 W Main St to discuss closing the access easement to OR 211/Main St and partition the property to have access to the local street. ODOT supports this approach since access will be taken from the local street system. We were not planning on participating in the pre-app. Please let me know if it would be helpful to have ODOT there and/or provide comments.

  1. 1. State Highway Approach Road Upgrade Permit- driveway to be paved and delineated (no open frontage)
  2. 2. R/W Donation as needed to implement the city’s TSP

Sam Miller (cc’d) is the best contact with engineering for development projects. Just got a chance to sit down and talk with him about this one.

We’ve been going back and forth on this one ourselves. There is a frontage improvement requirement on the property from the subdivision process. We’re wondering, with the recent pathway developed there, if any additional update would be recommended on your end?

With that in mind, our assumption is that other (street) conditions would include:

 

Per ODOT standards as applicable. Most of which would be covered, I assume, in the approach permit.

Thanks for sending this land use application for ODOT’s review. The application did not include a comment deadline. Do you have one? ODOT is also interested in what the city requirements will be relating to frontage improvements and/or right of way donation since it will inform our recommended conditions of approval. It looks like they are proposing to pave a driveway to the new garage which will require a State Highway Approach Road Upgrade Permit. Because of the open frontage they will also need to define the driveway. I don’t have the contact information for Gerald’s replacement so if you want to forward my message to engineering that would be great.
