The Newberg City Council met on August 7, 2017 and took the following actions: ● Approved Resolution 2017-3387, awarding Villa Road improvement contract to K & E Excavating, Inc. for $2,819,650.65 ● Directed staff to prepare findings in support of Ordinance 2017-2815, Dutchman’s Ridge annexation and schedule for September 5 meeting. ● Approved Resolution 2017-3400, Code amendment initiation for PUD private streets ● Approved Resolution 2017-3399, George Fox University easements ● Approved meeting minutes for June 19, 2017. In other business: ● Tabled Resolution 2017-3377, Villa Road easement agreements to the August 14 Council meeting. ● Tabled Ordinance 2017-2813, Development Code land divisions to August 24 Council meeting. ● Tabled update on Newberg 2030 Population Projections to August 24 Council meeting. ● Heard reports from the City Manager on activities, Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce on activities and Community Development on Transient Lodging Tax grant materials. ● Had a request from a citizen for the value of the City’s Fire Station properties.
