The comment period for the Art Glass Permanent Rulemaking closes this Friday, July 29, 2016 at 4 p.m.

Summary

DEQ proposes the Environmental Quality Commission approve new permanent rules to control metals emissions from colored art glass manufacturing facilities in the Portland area.

EQC adopted temporary rules on April 21, 2016 and this proposed rulemaking will make those rules permanent. DEQ is also seeking comment on possible rule modifications that would make the proposed permanent rules apply to more sources than the temporary rules do.

Public Participation

DEQ will accept public comments on this proposed rulemaking until 5 pm on July 29, 2016.

DEQ will hold a public hearing on this proposed rulemaking on July 19, 2016 at 6 pm. The hearing will be held at DEQ Headquarters, 10th Floor – EQC A, 811 SW 6th Avenue, Portland, OR 97204.
