Proposal

 Amend 340-200-004 to update the Oregon Clean Air Act State Implementation Plan

 Amend 340-202-0060(3) to incorporate the annual primary ambient air quality standard for PM 2.5

 Amend 340-250-0030(22) to include PM 2.5 in the definition of National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS)

 

Need  States have a legal obligation under the Clean Air Act to amend their administrative rules to adopt new or revised NAAQS and incorporate these standards into their State Clean Air Act Implementation Plans. Amendments to Oregon Administrative Rule are needed to incorporate the annual NAAQS for fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) into the DEQ standard and to revise the definition of NAAQS to incorporate PM 2.5 into the Oregon SIP.
