DEQ is proposing that the Environmental Quality Commission adopt revisions to the air quality permitting, HeatSmart, and clean diesel grant and loan rules at the Aug. 19/20, 2014 EQC meeting. DEQ proposes changes to statewide particulate matter standards and the pre-construction permitting program that would align with EPA’s adoption of the ambient air quality standard for fine particulate (PM_2.5). DEQ is asking interested persons to provide comment on the proposed rules during the public notice period Feb. 1 through Mar. 20. Public hearings will be held on Mar. 18.
