NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AIR QUALITY RULE AMENDMENTS

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is extending the public comment period for proposed revisions to air quality permitting, Heat Smart, and gasoline dispensing facility rules from 5 p.m. on July 31, 2014 to 5 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2014. DEQ is also adding two locations to the July 16, 2014 public hearings. DEQ is proposing that the Environmental Quality Commission adopt revisions to the air quality permitting, Heat Smart, and gasoline dispensing facility rules. The commission has the statutory authority to address these issues under ORS 468 and ORS 468A. These amendments, if adopted, will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a revision to the State Implementation Plan and OAR 340-200-0040 as required by the Clean Air Act. DEQ will hold public hearings at 6 p.m. on Jul. 16, 2014 at the following locations:
