Subject: DEQ final review of Open Burning & scheduling EQC

Ed Druback (503-667-8414 x55014), the AQ Manager at our Gresham office, will be reviewing your “Amendments to Title 47, Open Burning Rules” one last time prior to sending them to the Division Administrator for his final review and submittal to the Office of Director and EQC. We mapped-out a schedule to take the rulemaking before the EQC in October provided there are no significant changes; we don’t anticipate there will be. The EQC will meet Thursday & Friday, October 23^rd and 24^th in Portland. I have added your rulemaking to the EQC Agenda. We don’t know yet whether your rule will be scheduled for the 23^rd or 24^th, but will notify you when we do. Margaret tells me that Merlyn and Andy would present the rulemaking to the EQC.
