Kevin,

For a public hearing, we don’t allow people to call a conference line number from home to provide public comment because it would cause authentication and order problems. We have the option to use a conference line at DEQ offices around the state. People interested in attending the hearing would go to their local DEQ office at the time of the Portland hearing. The local DEQ office would call-in to the Portland office. Let me know if you want to set up hearings around the state this way. This is not required, but a recommendation if your rulemaking will draw a lot of interest, or affects people in a specific area outside of Portland.
