GOV DELIVERY MESSAGE to be issued July 15, 2013

UPDATES TO OREGON SIP FOR NITROGEN DIOXIDE, SULFUR DIOXIDE AND LEAD AMBIENT AIR QUALITY STANDARDS

 

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s Air Quality Division is accepting public comment on proposed rule revisions to update ambient air quality standards to match federally-revised National Ambient Air Quality Standards for nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and lead and to adopt new, 1-hour Significant Air Quality Impact Levels for nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide. The amendments, if adopted, will be submitted to the US Environmental Protection Agency for approval and as a revision to the State Implementation Plan, which is a requirement of the Clean Air Act.

 

A public hearing will be held:

August 15, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.

Comments on this proposal can be presented at the hearing or mailed, faxed or e-mailed to DEQ during the public comment period.  All comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 19, 2013.
