Randy,
Just a quick question: When they are posted online, will the rule notices be on DEQ's home page, on the Water Quality page, or on the Onsite Wastewater Management Program page (or another page I missed)?
Sincerely,

Hi Randy,
I'm hoping to send out the News-Journal the first of next week, which will have your article in it. I haven't reviewed it thoroughly yet, but in my brief review it appears that it will catch people's attention. I will let you know if I see anything that may need tweaking.
I will be sending out the Commissioner's Bulletin this week (hopefully tomorrow), but can point them to your webpage with a note that it won't be there until the end of the week.
Sincerely,

OK, here is what we put together. I can edit it down if it’s too long. I don’t know when this will go out, but we won’t have much info on our web page until the end of the week.
I am in Monday if this needs work.

Hello Mesheal,
Thanks for considering this! Thanks and I am drafting something this week to send to you. Is there a general word count target? I am shooting for less than 500. I’m not a slick writer and may provide quality with a ‘k’…kwality. Just a heads up it may look like it was written by a guy who writes rules.
Rules and links should be (need to be) ready by the end of this month, so may not make the commissioner’s bulletin.

Hi Randy,
We'd be happy to publish your article in the next issue of the Oregon Real Estate News-Journal. The deadline for articles is August 27.
If you have links to rule notices or draft rules on your website, I can include them in our next Commissioner's Bulletin, which will go out next week.
Both publications are sent by e-mail.
Sincerely,

Hello,
I am the onsite program coordinator that is assigned to write rules for septic systems. One of the sections of the rule I am working on is time of transfer septic inspections. They will be required in the ‘coastal parts’ of the state to meet an EPA/NOAA requirement. The draft rules will outline what an inspection is required to have, but again, an inspection/report is required only in the designated zone that will be described in rule.
If there is interest, I can put together a brief article. Public comment period will occur in September with public hearings around the middle of the month.
