DEQ has extended the public comment deadline on the proposed Klamath Falls air quality attainment plan to Sept. 4.

In addition, DEQ has clarified and added definitions to the original draft rules and plan. The plan, developed with the assistance of a diverse group of local stakeholders in the Klamath area, seeks to bring the area into compliance with National Ambient Air Quality standards for fine particulate pollution by the federal deadline of December 2014.
