Thank you for your interest in our program. I have signed you up for e-mail notifications about our program and I’ve included a link here to our website. Since you are familiar with the California program, you will notice that our programs are very similar but not identical. I would say that the biggest differences are with our phased approach to implementation, how we establish our baseline, how individual parties can get unique carbon intensities, our supply shortage and price increase deferrals, and that we are currently not including an ILUC.

We are currently accepting comments from the public concerning our draft rules. This comment period is open until 5 pm August 31, 2012. Also, as I mentioned in my voicemail, there is a public hearing scheduled for 9:30 am tomorrow morning for our Commission to hear directly from stakeholders.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Cory-Ann,

The National Biodiesel Board, which represents US biodiesel producers and marketers, has been very active in the California LCFS process. I serve on the California LCFS Sustainability Workgroup, for example. We are interested in following the Oregon process as well. Do you happen to have a mailing list or something similar that might help us stay updated on your progress?

Thanks so much and, of course, if we can be of any assistance, please feel free to call or write at any time.

Shelby
