Subject: RE: New - Questions under the Oregon Clean Fuels Program

Importance: Normal

Thank you for talking with me by phone. We sincerely appreciate your expertise and leadership regarding the Oregon Clean Fuels Program. Here are some of the questions that come to mind:

Q1: When do the PTD requirements in 340-253-0310 begin? (Phase 1 or Phase 2?)

Q2: The Avg CI for the gasoline baseline is 90.38 in Table 1 of 340-253-3010. However, the CI # for gasoline supplied to Oregon is 92.34 (Table 3 of 340-253-3030). What are the basic differences behind the two CI #s?

Q3: What are the basic assumptions under the Ethanol from corn “GREET default adjusted for transport to Oregon” CI #64.80,? (Midwest dry mill corn-based ethanol produced with natural gas and drying most of the distillers grains?)

Q4: With a number of corn-based ethanol plants considering a switch to corn-based isobutanol production, will isobutanol be part of the lookup table in the future? (Isobutanol would be added to gasoline in blends up to 16%). From what we understand, the production process would be fairly standard among the ethanol plants that switch to isobutanol. (For instance, if they are already a dry mill using natural gas and drying their distillers grains, the plant would continue this even after switching to isobutanol).

Thank you for your insight.
