Do your numbers include registered mfrs only – or reg and paid (for years when we had unregistered mfrs paying)?

Kathy –

I am reviewing some information about mfrs from past years. Who was registered and for what year – and which ones paid an invoice fee even when they had not registered.

I find that my number of registered mfrs does not match those that Jordan is using in his analysis of previous years. I used registration status and “Compliant” to count these.

I have: 2008 - 171

2009 – 176

2010 – 162

Where did these numbers, from Jordan’s excel sheets and provided by your initial compilation, come from?

2008 – 184

2009 – 199

2010 – 190

The 2011 number of registered mfrs is 169. In comparison, my set looks like the number of registered mfrs has stayed pretty much the same. If your numbers are valid, then the number of registered mfrs seems to be decreasing. That point – decreasing or holding constant - may be important in the fee analysis and in our discussions.
