I am glad to hear about the effort to address chemical use in relation to water quality issues . Many of these substances are relatively soluble in water and are transported from the land surface to streams through a combination of subsurface drainage, surface runoff and soil erosion. Rain and irrigation facilitate transport to groundwater. We do not know where these substances go,what they do or what they become when they mix. We do not know their long term effects on human health. The industry protects itself in many expensive ways. Please consider human health as a priority in determining toxicity levels. We eat fish and irrigated plants. We are water. And please do not allow variance loop holes to drain the strength of your legislation. C. Ach Leaburg
