Subject: pesticides in water

Importance: Normal

I have received forwarded e-mail with a notice from the Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides saying that current standards for pesticides in water are based on an assumed daily consumption of fish amounting to 6.5 grams per person.

I would like to say that I eat much more fish than that on a daily basis.

The e-mail went on to say that new standards are being considered which would set standards for pesticides in water based on an average consumption of 175 grams/day/person. This is much more realistic, and I would like to support the new standards.
