Charge of the group:

•  “Ground truth” the viability of draft rules and associated implementation options developed by the small working group

•  Provide advice to DEQ about connections and pathways between the water quality standards rulemaking and the statewide toxics reduction strategy

•  Provide input to DEQ about what a toxics reduction plan should “look like”

•  Provide input on the water component of the statewide toxics reduction strategy and on issues that are beyond the scope of the water quality standards rulemaking

 

Schedule:

•  TBD – 3 or 4 half-day meetings between December 17th and mid-May.

Charge of the group:

•  Help DEQ develop innovative NPDES implementation options

•  Provide advice to DEQ about how to connect NPDES implementation options to the statewide toxics reduction strategy and SB 737

•  As needed, in discussing the charges above, provide input to DEQ on rule language development

•  Identify issues that are beyond the scope of the water quality standards rulemaking

 

Schedule:

•  TBD – 6 to 8 half-day meetings between December 17th and mid-May.
