TO OREGON DEQ,

I am writing this in support of the proposed relaxed standards of naturally ocurring minerals in water systems.

I am part of a small water district and the current limits on arsenic have put our system out of compliance. Our community

does not and will not ever have the kind of money necessary to install a metals reduction filter into our system. I wish the

DEQ would take into account the many people across the state who are financially negatively impacted by the adoption of more

restrictive requirements onto existing systems that were in compliance when they were originally built. Most areas simply don't have

the option to change their source and many do not have the financial resources to rectify their water.

Thank you for listening.
