Subject: Comments on Oregon's water quality standards
Importance: Normal
To Whom It May Concern:
Please add my opinion against the proposal to change Oregon’s water quality standards for arsenic, iron and manganese. The quality and safety of Oregon’s public drinking water should be of the highest priority for the DEQ. Less stringent regulations, easing guidelines for dischargers, is not in the best interest for the public health. The DEQ’s responsibility is to the health and safety of the public, not benefitting industry and weakening necessary regulations. I urge you to please reconsider this rule change and keep Oregon water safe and healthy.
Thank you,
